Answer: Yes! You will leave class with the Certificate of Completion.

Question: What happens if I pay for a class but change my mind and want a refund?

Answer: You can receive a $56 refund by sending us an email at dominiondriver@gmail.com. We keep a $4 processing fee. This assumes you have not already completed the class; refunds are never given once you have completed the course.

Question: What happens if I pay for a class but decide I want a refund?

Answer: You can transfer your payment in full to any other open class. If you would prefer a refund, you can receive a $56 refund by sending us an email at dominiondriver@gmail.com. We keep a $4 processing fee.

Question: How many points do I receive for taking your class?

Answer: If you are taking the class voluntarily or because of a DMV order, you can receive up to five safe driving points for taking our class. This assumes that you haven’t taken a clinic in the past two years and received points. In the case of a DMV order, it additionally assumes that you were at least 18 years old when you received the ticket.

Please note that you can never have more than five safe driving points on your record.

If you are taking the class because of a court referral or order, safe driving points are not permitted.

Question: How can I earn more points?

Answer: You earn one safe driving point for every calendar year (January 1st through December 31st) in which you are not convicted of a violation or have a suspension. Keep in mind that the demerit points you receive for a traffic charge are valid for two years.

Question: Do you report my satisfactory completion of the clinic to DMV?

Answer: Yes! Assuming you’ve made your payment, we report your completion within 24 hours, usually within about 12 hours.

Question: Do you report my satisfactory completion of the clinic to the court that ordered the class?

Answer: No, reporting to the court is the student’s responsibility. You will have received instructions from the court that you can refer to.

Question: What happens if I fail the test?

Answer: For the online course, you must wait 24 hours to retest. There are no additional fees.

Question: How do I know how many points are on my Virginia DMV record?

Answer:  Go to the DMV website, dmv.virginia.gov, and click on “Create Account” which is next to the orange “Log In” tab at the top of the page. Their system will prompt you through the steps to view your points and your driving record. You can also order an official transcript of your record.
